Lemon cleansing diet
Modern lifestyles tempt us with abundant choices and various indulgences, such as unhealthy eating with excess fats, sweets, fast food, large and irregular meals, alcohol consumption, and insufficient physical activity. We have forgotten that humans can survive for a short time without food. Therefore, let's allow the body to relieve the digestive tract for a few days through fasting and eliminate excess and harmful substances from the body. If the intake of toxins exceeds the excretion through the kidneys, liver, and lungs, toxins accumulate in the body, which consequently leads to poor well-being and health problems.
Fasting allows the body to rest, and the energy saved from digesting food is invested in detoxification and the regeneration of cells and tissues. The lemon cleansing (detox) diet, invented over 40 years ago by natural healer Stanley Burroughs, has long been established worldwide. It involves fasting with the help of a drink made from MADAL BAL - NEERA tree syrup, lemon juice, a pinch of Himalayan salt, cayenne pepper, and water.
Preparation of the fasting drink
Prepare the fasting drink from 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of Madal Bal tree syrup, a pinch of cayenne pepper, and 3 dl of water. Drink at least 6 glasses of this prepared drink daily. You can also prepare the daily amount of the drink at once. Drink the beverage evenly throughout the day, when you start to feel hungry or lack energy. It is recommended to follow the timing of daily meals. You must consume at least 2 liters of the drink daily. In addition to the drink, you can also drink water or herbal teas (mint). In total, consume at least 3 liters of liquid (teas, water, Madal Bal Neera tree syrup drink) per day.
The drink provides the body with important vitamins and minerals - natural vitamin C, B-complex vitamins, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc, as well as energy in the form of carbohydrates (approx. 40kcal/glass). With a little effort and willpower, it is possible to endure a seven to ten-day lemon Neera fast, which relieves the body of excess weight and restores lost balance and well-being. Less persistent individuals fast only 1 day a week. It is very important to start eating balanced, healthy meals after the fast, otherwise old habits will quickly return.
Stomach cleansing during fasting
During the fast, drink 1 liter of warm water with 2 medium full teaspoons of Himalayan salt every morning on an empty stomach. If you have to go to work early, you can also drink warm water with Himalayan salt in the evening. After drinking the salty water, wait at least one hour before starting to drink the Neera drink. If you find the process of drinking brine very difficult, you can replace it with drinking laxative teas. After drinking brine or laxative tea, stay near a toilet for one hour. If you do not ensure elimination with brine or laxative teas, it can happen that the toxins that the body tries to excrete from the digestive tract and stomach are reabsorbed into the body. This can cause headaches, nausea and reduce the cleansing effect of the fast.
Important: During fasting, do not consume solid food, vitamin preparations, or food supplements, as these inhibit the cleansing of the body; likewise, avoid coffee, alcohol, and tobacco products. The only exceptions are prescribed medications that must be taken due to health problems. The lemon diet is not suitable for children under 14, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, and patients suffering from chronic diseases.
