Krauterhof cooling horse balm is renowned throughout Europe for its effectiveness in caring for tired and overworked muscles and joints. It contains valuable herbal extracts of horse chestnut, arnica, rosemary, camphor, and mint oil. The gel refreshes overworked muscles, invigorates and relaxes them, promotes circulation, and has a soothing effect on the entire musculature. The cooling horse balm intensely relaxes and provides a feeling of comfort to tired muscles, the lower back, knees, and other parts of the body. By promoting blood circulation throughout the body, horse balm reduces the likelihood of injuries due to overexertion, making it ideal for use before or after sports activities. The cooling horse gel or balm also has a very beneficial effect on so-called "muscle soreness" or for cooling and caring for overheated, tired legs or feet.

What are the characteristics of the medicinal plants contained in Krauterhof cooling horse balm:
- Horse chestnut fruits contain a saponin complex that improves the skin's defense mechanism and strengthens its walls.
- Arnica is very popular in folk medicine due to its high content of medicinal ingredients. It is very effective for various purposes. Arnica increases skin circulation, inhibits the proliferation of microbes, and has a mild antiseptic effect.
- Rosemary, when applied externally, stimulates circulation and relaxes and inspires our spirit.
- Camphor has a beneficial effect on rheumatism and also acts as a mild disinfectant. Its scent relieves tension and emotionally relaxes us.
- Mint has a beneficial effect on our emotions, and on the skin, it first has a cooling effect, and then warms it, which has a beneficial effect on the connective tissue of the skin.

Origin and etymology of the name horse balm: One might mistakenly think that the composition of horse balm contains or once contained some part of a horse. In the past, horses were very important for survival, so they were cared for to the best of one's ability, sometimes even better than people. To prevent the household from suffering too much damage due to injury or illness of a horse, our ancestors developed this special and valuable herbal ointment, which they named horse ointment or horse balm. Horses were treated with such a gel if they had muscle injuries, tears, sprains, and also respiratory illnesses.
Over time, horse gel began to be increasingly used by people for the care and stimulation of tired limbs and muscles. Recently, horse balm has been widely used in sports and for pain-relieving massages, and its popularity is growing among all generations.

Directions for use: Gently rub the gel into the skin for a few minutes. In case of severe fatigue, the horse gel can also be applied to the affected area 2-3 times a day, preferably in the morning and evening. Krauterhof cooling horse gel or balm is suitable for external use only.
