Horse ointment with spruce resin - Smrekovit Ekstra

Smrekovit Ekstra Spruce cooling horse ointment is a balm that combines the healing effect of spruce resin with the anesthetic and cooling effect of camphor, menthol and selected essential oils. These ingredients have been successfully used for centuries to relieve pain in tired horses (horse fat, horse cream, horse gel or horse ointment.) Due to its effectiveness in animals, its use has also spread to humans. The combination of ingredients in the product provides a feeling of comfort soon after application, while also providing intensive treatment throughout the application.

Smrekovit Ekstra Spruce horse ointment is not suitable for internal use due to additives that make its action even more effective. As in all Smrekovit products, the main ingredient of Smrekovit Ekstra (spruce horse cooling balm) is spruce resin. Volatile ingredients such as camphor and menthol contribute to the effectiveness of the product, but they limit its use on damaged skin and mucous membranes. Smrekovit Ekstra (spruce horse cooling balm) is also not suitable for ingestion. In all these cases, we recommend Smrekovit classic (spruce ointment). The effectiveness of Smrekovit products is confirmed by numerous user experiences collected since 1990.

Composition: Ingredients according to INCI nomenclature (EU regulation 1223/2009/EC): elaeis guineensis butter (palm fat), helianthus annuus seed oil (sunflower oil), picea alba resin (spruce resin), cera alba (beeswax), camphor (camphor), menthol, pinus sylvestris leaf oil (pine essential oil), cucurbita pepo seed oil (pumpkin seed oil), limonene

Usage: Smrekovit Ekstra (spruce horse cooling balm) should be gently rubbed into the skin at the application site several times a day. A much greater effect will be achieved by using a Smrekovit compress, which should be applied at least twice a day. This will prevent Smrekovit Ekstra balm (spruce horse cooling balm) from soaking into clothes or bandages, which will ensure a much longer period of action. If you use bandages, they should be loose enough to allow unimpeded blood flow.

Warnings: The ointment must not come into contact with eyes, for external use only, keep out of reach of children, not suitable for use on damaged skin (open wounds), in rare cases allergic skin reactions to any of the product ingredients are possible.

Important notes for use:

• Pain in the shoulders and arms, as well as in the buttocks and legs, is often caused by spinal problems, so in addition to the painful parts of the limbs, the corresponding part of the spine must also be treated (for pain in the arms, the cervical part and the area between the shoulder blades; for pain in the legs, the lumbar and sacral area of the spine);
• In some conditions, pain may change or intensify at the beginning of treatment. Expect relief within 12 to 72 hours;
• The treatment time is significantly shortened if you start applying the ointment immediately after the injury or onset of the disease;
• Do not interrupt treatment for at least one week, even if improvement does not appear immediately. In chronic diseases (arthritis, rheumatism, sciatica, etc.), treatment is particularly long-term and requires regularity and discipline;
• If an allergic skin reaction occurs, stop applying the ointment.
